Apiari was founded by healthcare clinicians.
Michael Selvage RN, BSN, MSM, NEA-BC
Michael has twenty years of healthcare experience, including multiple leadership and executive positions in both private and governmental settings. Prior to founding Apiari, he worked as a Chief Nursing Officer, Division Director of Clinical Services, Director of Acute Care Services, and as a clinical leader with responsibility for multiple clinical areas within both acute care and long-term care.
With Michael’s background in Organizational Development, he has consistently built high-functioning teams and healthy culture in each of his positions to deliver world class patient satisfaction and patient outcomes. Michael has a passion for quality systems, organizational development, regulatory management, infection prevention, leadership coaching, shared governance, and project management.
Michael has a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Regis University in Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington Adventist University. Currently, Michael is pursuing a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Organizational Leadership from the University of Kansas.
Andrea Fraser, RN, BSN, BA, PCCN
Andrea’s background is in Professional Development, and prior to founding Apiari, she held positions in clinical leadership and clinical education in the hospital and university environment. Andrea has directed Professional Development and Education within both the long-term care and acute care environments and has directed clinical operations for multiple acute care settings. Andrea has expertise in adult education, simulation, process improvement, and team-building. She is a dynamic presenter who has spoken nationally on topics ranging from creative teaching strategies to the impact of the legalization of marijuana.
Andrea has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from Baylor University. Currently, Andrea is pursuing a DNP in Organizational Leadership from the University of Kansas.
Apiari utilizes a supplemental team based on the needs of each project. All of the team members have more than a decade of health care experience, care deeply about patients/residents, and are able to engage with teams to understand their work and help them move forward.
